IFast-12 is a health program combining, for the first time in Australia, the principles of the 5:2 Dietâ„¢, developed by Dr. Michael Mosley, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

European program participants have averaged weight loss of 6.3kilos for men and 3.9 kilos for women. Significantly, the weight loss is almost entirely limited to harmful body fat while preserving valuable lean tissue (i.e. muscle). This is a much safer way to lose weight than with standard diets where up to 30% of weight loss can be muscle, and with crash diets it can be 40% or higher.

During the IFast-12 pilot study in Ireland, people lost an average of 4.6 kilos and reported great improvements in health and mood.

IFast-12 is geared towards busy people who want to regain control of their lives and transform their health. Recent studies highlight the role voluntary fasting plays on reducing cellular damage and inflammation. Intermittent fasting combined with short bouts of high intensity training, the Ifast-12 program has been shown to achieve steady and sustainable weight loss without causing muscle loss. Early analysis of results also suggest that the combination of intermittent fasting with high intensity exercise has a number of health benefits including reducing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers.

Our 12 WK program

Integrating the globally successful 5:2 diet with less than 10 minutes high intensity training three times per week and medical supervision, IFast-12 is the health intervention program designed for busy people who want to regain control of their lives.

The IFast-12 program is based on two exciting new approaches to dieting and exercise and underpinned by expert medical and sports science support.

Incorporating the 5:2 Dietâ„¢ – 2 days of intermittent fasting (500 calories for women and 600 calories for men) – with high intensity interval training (HIIT), all participants are under the supervision of a General Physician and a Sports Scientist.

As a member of IFast-12 in Australia, you will receive a comprehensive pre and post medical and you will be fully monitored by our team over 12 weeks.
