IFast-12 is a health program combining, for the first time in Australia, the principles of the 5:2 Diet™, developed by Dr. Michael Mosley, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
European program participants have averaged weight loss of 6.3kilos for men and 3.9 kilos for women. Significantly, the weight loss is almost entirely limited to harmful body fat while preserving valuable lean tissue (i.e. muscle). This is a much safer way to lose weight than with standard diets where up to 30% of weight loss can be muscle, and with crash diets it can be 40% or higher.
During the IFast-12 pilot study in Ireland, people lost an average of 4.6 kilos and reported great improvements in health and mood.
